     My parents started ROSVALL AUCTION CO., INC. in 1940; I carried on the family tradition of weekly auctions and personal property appraisals after my father died in 1992, until September 2002 when I closed down the auction business. My company specializes in personal property appraisals, buying and selling of used furniture and antiques at the same location.  Estimates for appraisal values are done for a fee.

    We are capable and experienced in handling personal property estate appraisals (large & small), valuations for court proceedings, appraisals for personal insurance purposes or financial banking (trust) concerns.  We handle appraisals of furniture (both antique and modern), jewelry, collections of coins, firearms (guns), automobiles and many other miscellaneous household items. On occasion, I also do appraisals of commercial inventories.

§     Commencing in 1972, after a brief tour of duty in the U.S. Army (1969-1971), I resumed assisting my father in the family business and thereby acquiring both excellent training and experience in the handling of appraisals, auctioning and customer relationships.  Through ethical and accurate work, I achieved becoming known as one of the “ Leading Mid-western/Rocky Mountain Area Appraisers and Auctioneers”.

Additional professional activities

Initiate written personal property appraisals and personal property estate auctions for clients.

Perform appraisal consultation work for local banks in trust departments.

Maintain contacts and resources, including antique and furniture dealers, competitors, the public, and various moving or storage companies.
